Nityānanda Pilgrimage 2025

It's impossible to capture in words how life-changing our India pilgrimage trips can be. With daily satsangs, kirtan, stories, and visits to powerful sacred sites and temples pulsing with energy, the pilgrimage is an unforgettable experience. Rarely do we have the opportunity to travel India with such an experienced guide who knows the ins and outs of all the sites you will visit. This particular pilgrimage travels up the west coast of India, from verdant tropical Kerala to the holy hot springs of Ganeshpuri, Mahārāshtra, following in the footsteps of the great 20th century siddha master Bhagavān Nityānanda, from his place of birth to where he left his body.

We travel in a comfortable air conditioned coach, and on our longer journeys we are regaled with fascinating stories and history related in an entertaining manner by Hareesh. You will learn more about India in two weeks than you might have thought possible -- it's like a more entertaining version of a university course on the history, philosophies, and religions of India. Additionally you will learn about what made Nityānanda such a unique and rare siddha.

With ample time to ask all your questions and sit together in profound practice, you can look forward to what will likely be the trip of a lifetime.

Our accommodation is high-end whenever possible, but since we do depart from the tourist track sometimes we stay in more humble accommodation. However the food is always delicious!  You may even find yourself saying you've never tasted Indian food like this.

The highlights are too many to list, so join us and find out for yourself!

  • CASH & CREDIT CARDS

Cash transactions can generally be made in either U.S. dollars or local currency. U.S. dollars should be recently issued bills in smaller denominations. The import and export of Indian Rupees is strictly prohibited unless you are a resident of India. So make certain to conduct any currency exchanges within India.

Major credit cards are accepted on a limited basis, mainly in the larger shops, hotels and restaurants. Access to ATM machines is widespread in cities and towns but limited in rural areas.

    MONEY MATTERS

We recommend travelling with some cash, and at least two different major credit cards, such as Visa and Mastercard, so you have backup if your card is not accepted or lost. Contact your bank and credit card companies to let them know where and when you’ll be travelling, as well as confirm any foreign transaction fees.

When carrying cash, try to travel only with recently issued currency in smaller denominations. Larger bills are usually not accepted for small purchases.

    KEEP CONNECTED

While most smartphones work in India, you might need to turn on international roaming service before you travel. Contact your carrier for information on coverage and voice and data plan options while travelling abroad.

    GETTING ONLINE

Many hotels and public places have Wi-Fi and you’ll usually be able to stay connected throughout your journey, although Internet access may be poor to nonexistent in remote destinations.

  • It is feasible that people on pilgrimage may be infected or become infected with Covid. As the virus is no longer a significant threat to the majority of people, we will not isolate Covid positive students in separate accommodation. We will require Covid positive students to mask in the bus and keep distance from other students.
